Transforming Tate Modern Project Display
Client: Tate Modern Museum
Location: Ground Floor Hall, Tate Modern, London
Brief: To design a concise exhibition that presents the Tate Modern Extension to the public, keeping them updated as the scheme unfolds.
To explain Herzog & De Meuron’s pioneering architectural scheme to Tate visitors we created a compact, free standing exhibition structure made up of a series of suspended image panels and a family of bespoke furniture pieces, including fibre glass benches and display tables, holding integrated screens showing documentary and live site footage, physical models and material samples.
The open, accessible nature of the display methodology and the generous bench seating were designed to invite you to linger and investigate the content on display as well as giving people the opportunity to record their feedback on the scheme online.
